This patio heater uses natural gas and operates at 50,000 BTUs per hour. The deep-dish reflector broadcasts radiant heat over an area of up to 12 feet in diameter, depending on wind conditions. This heater features a safety pilot system which automatically shuts off the gas if the flame is lost. The Sunglo A242SS has a battery-operated, spark ignition system and a manual on/off control knob located at the front of the heater.
